Product Details

The 50s inspired Atomic Spring Wrap is a versatile crochet wrap or shawl you’ll want to drape across your shoulders or wear with a shawl pin for instant glamour.

It is a large rectangle shawl reminiscent of a retro stole with a fun “atomic” stitch pattern and would look amazing in a strong jewel colour, colour changing yarn or any colour you like.

To make the Atomic Spring Wrap you begin with a long foundation chain which is the bottom edge, then work back and forth in rows, from the bottom to the top of the large rectangular wrap. To make the edging you work on the right side in one round. You could also add fringing or tassels instead of the crocheted edge.

Inspiration

I love the spirit of adventure Spring brings and the optimism of the 50s which inspired this beautiful wrap full of possibilities. The pattern was originally published in Crochet Now Issue 14 and a free version is available on The Stitch Foundry website.
