A very basic, beginner-friendly knit hair accessory that can be worn with any outfit and for any hairstyle. It’s worked flat in short rows of garter stitch. Then, the ends are tied together and sewn with a tapestry needle to form the knot. Step by step photos and video tutorial links are included for how to tie the knot and knit smooth, even edges.
MATERIALS • 1 skein of Lion Brand Touch of Alpaca or 207yds/190meters of medium worsted category 4 yarn • Size US 5/3.75mm knitting needles • Removable stitch marker (optional) • Tapestry needle (for sewing the knot)
FINISHED SIZE Length: 21” / Width: 1.5” (approx. when flat before tying the knot)
