Product Details
This cowl/capelet has one of the prettiest stitch patterns I've seen. It's worked like a lace, but the increases, instead of yarnovers, are lifted-type increases, so there is all of the texture but none of the holes, which, when the weather turns brisk, one can do without!
It starts with a picot cast on and is worked in the round, with the stitch pattern scaling down to taper around the neckline, and topped with an eyelet and ribbed edge - perfect for threading an optional I-cord drawstring, finished with these charming little leafy knitted pulls.
Versatile - wear snug or slouchy, down around the neck or up over the shoulders.
Pattern is written and also includes a charted version of the stitch pattern.
Gauge: 14-15 stitches = 31⁄2" and 24 rounds = 31⁄4" in pat- tern stitch using larger needles.
Skills used: Knitted cast on, lifted increases, I-cord (all explained in Glossary
