Product Details

I live just 5 minutes walk from the beaches of Barry Island, on the south coast of Wales. With three children and a water-loving Labrador, many of my happiest memories are of time spent together on the sand. The main beach has two rows of brightly-painted beach huts. On the greyest of winter days, their cheerful colours always perk us up, and in the summer they are packed with families having fun by the sea, just like mine.

This sock pattern is written for 3 sizes, top-down, on double pointed needles. They have a heel flap and gusset, and are closed at the toe using Kitchener stitch. You could just as easily knit them on two circulars or using the magic loop technique, and substitute your preferred heel. The patterned section at the top of the leg only has 5 rounds of stranded colourwork, the rest is just stripes.
