A mystery KAL designed for Ravelry’s Odd Sock group, this sock is graced with vertical “beanpole” elements (chosen by the knitter) up the front and back of each sock. If you like fraternally unmatched socks, choose four different elements to maximize oddness, or even change beanpole designs mid-sock. If you prefer a matched look, choose just one or two elements and use them in more than one spot. The design also features a Strong(ish) heel and fully-stranded heel and toe, and an option for lengthening the leg.
The KAL discussions are [here][1], [here][2], and [here][3].
Changing the heel turn by making the center section of stitches wider allows the beanpole to run onto the sole uninterrupted: [notes on this lovely modification][4] courtesy of [Bookish98][5].
Some tips: • The beanpoles are centered down the front and back of the sock as shown, but when the leg is worked, the beginning of the round is off-center, so the beanpole is the first set of stitches worked.
