Easy knitting for a fast and cute hat! For ourselves or for gifts! Even though this pattern is only in one size, you can easily change the hat size by changing the yarn and needle.
This is easy knitting. If you already mastered basic knitting, knitting in the round and simple decreases, then you are ready for this pattern.
I made this hat in 1 size: adult woman. But you can change the yarn and needle if you want to change the hat size.
The sample was knitted in 2 strands of local soft acrylic yarn DK weight held together, but feel free to use any Aran yarn that suited for 6 mm (US 10) knitting needle.
What you need are = 1 or 2 colors Aran weight yarns (the second color is only for the ear and pompoms, and this is optional, so you can use 1 color for all parts of hat too), 6 mm (US 10) knitting needle (DPNs and 40 cm circular needle), stitch marker, tapestry needle.
Gauge: 14 stitches and 28 rows = 10 cm in garter stitch using 6 mm
Yardage: 224 - 241 yards (205 - 220 m)
