This pattern makes a spectacular coat! I'm using a different yarn than is recommended (I'm using Premier Spin Colors), and it's a single ply yarn that's thick and thin. The resulting gaps in the thin spots -- plus a different fiber content than the suggested yarn -- are going to make it impractical as outerwear for me, but I'm going to be thrilled to wear it as a cardigan. It has worked up shockingly quickly, and I'm very excited about it. I gave the pattern four stars instead of five because I thought that it was written a bit strangely. My main issue was that the row count starts over every time the general pattern of row repeats changes, like changing between a section of no increases to one with increases. I found it difficult to pick up and put down my work because I couldn't just look at my row counter, find the appropriate row, and follow the instructions for that row. I had to look through the pattern, figure out which marked section I'm actually working on (sometimes I forget to erase my penciled star), go back and forth between my work and the instructions and make sure I'm in the right section, and then pick up where I left off. This wouldn't prevent me from making it again, maybe in a different color way, but if I do that I might rewrite the pattern for myself so I can follow it more easily. The coat isn't quite done yet, so I'll won't attach a photograph now. I'll try to go back and add a photo when it's ready, though!

A very good pattern, have nearly finished, just the sleeves to go. It is very easy to follow and works up quickly. I am really pleased with the coat.
