Product Details

The pattern is a modification of the “Wavy buds” pattern in two color brioche but it has been knitted with the decreases used for knitting brioche stitch in the round resulting in a more continuous line of leaves and branches. Hence the name “Branching leaves”. I particularly like the way the meandering lines have turned out.

The cowl is knitted in the smallest size which is 50 cm and is modeled on someone who takes women’s small clothing size. Other sizes can be made by casting on a larger number of stitches. The pattern repeat is over six stitches.

A 50 cm cowl such as this will fit close for cycling. A 70 cm cowl will fold once when buttoning up your coat. A 110 - 120 cm cowl will wrap around the neck twice.

The pattern has been tech edited and test knitted to ensure a pleasant knitting experience.
