Product Details
The Brunswick cravat is a fitted 'Miss Marple'-style keyhole scarf, with a textured double moss stitch designed for a fine 4ply-weight, yarn. Inspired by the tailored dressing of the 1940s, the scarf fits neatly under jackets and coats and adds a layer of warmth on cold winter days. The sample pictured is knit using a single ball of Drops Nord Alpaca (170m per 50g ball) in 'denim' and 'chestnut'. The pattern has a photo-illustrated guide to making the keyhole loop and step-by-step written instructions. Techniques used are knit and purl stitches, casting on and casting off and joining fabrics with a three-needle join. Lana Grossa Landlust Alpaka Merino 160 DK may be another good alternative to the Drops Nord Alpaca yarn.
