bCrochet these incredibly warm mittens that have a wool lining made of “thrums”! These thrums are crocheted strategically into the mitten so that they provide an incredible layer of warmth and softness inside - the thrums will felt over time to become a fleece layer. These bulky mittens work up very quickly and look so adorable with the puffy hearts! I used Hue + Me yarn (bulky level 5) for the mittens and Fifty Fifty yarn (wool/alpaca blend) to create the thrums. The printable PDF is a total of 14 pages including the cover page and includes: the written adult and child size patterns (child size fits my daughters ages 6 and 8), the full step-by-step photo tutorial, and detailed tutorials for: how to create your own thrums, how to work a thrum stitch, and how to work an invisible decrease with a thrum.
