A pictorial lace throw with a lovely natural wilderness theme. May be used as an elegant afghan for the sofa, a comforting knee rug for a child or adult, or a decorative blanket for a baby. Size and proportions are adjustable from the initial square.

The lace motifs depict a swarm of delicate butterflies.
Construction
The throw is worked in easy crochet mesh stitches that give the fabric a soft drape and make it breathable and comfortable. The central panel is constructed first. Then the surrounding rows are continued around all four sides, with the option of adding extra width at left and right. The motifs could also be used for a double knitted blanket.
