Product Details
This elegant scarf is inspired by the arches and domes of Byzantine architecture. It is made with motifs in one of 2 joining methods: the Continuous Crochet Motifs method, with less ends to weave in, or the traditional method of joining motifs. You choose which method you'd like to use.
The pattern includes written instructions for both joining methods, plus step-by-step photos for the continuous crochet motifs method and 2 crochet symbol charts: one for each of the joining methods.
You can customize the length by simply making and joining more or less motifs. The featured scarf is made with a sport weight yarn, but you could use a worsted weight or bulky weight yarn, if desired, for a wider scarf.
The scarf, as shown, uses approx 50 yds of Cherry Red, 45 yds of Orange, 150 yds of Black and 85 yds of Tea Leaf or Lime in Red Heart Lustersheen yarn. The round motifs measure 2 3/8” diameter. This is an intermediate-advanced pattern, depending on which motif joining method you choose.
