This pattern is written in the round. This is an advanced beginner pattern, but you must know how to knit in the round and cast onto circular needles. This does have some cable work, but I provide a video link to You Tube to show you how I do it.
This is an adventurous beginner pattern skill level:
---(5mm, 6 mm) double point knitting needles for size changes
---Cat 4 worsted weight (1 skein- 220 yards) I used Malabrigo worsted merino yarn
