Product Details

This pattern is for a pair of ornately cabled socks. The cable itself is a Japanese cable that is just perfect for socks. There’s enough “give” to make them comfortable, but enough unusual cabling to make them interesting to look at and fun to knit. The front and back of socks are identical until the heel flap.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of knitting and purling, lace knitting and cabling).

The cable stitch is charted only.

This pattern is written for 2 circular needles and is written for sizes Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large, and is sized by gauge

The sock pictured here was made with Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock yarn, in colorway, Curie, however, any light weight fingering yarn will work for this pattern: Needles = 2.25mm for Small, 2.50mm for medium, 2.75mm for L and 3.00mm for XL or preferred to obtain gauge.
