Product Details
The Caribbean Sea houses the second-largest barrier reef in the world, that constitutes the substratal stomping - eh, swimming - grounds for tons of fabulously flashy fish, among which the three splendid swimmers and one grounded inhabitant in this pattern.
This pattern contains the fairy basslet, bluehead wrasse, queen triggerfish and the red cushion sea star**,** knitted onon 2.00 mm double pointed needles (UK 12, US 0) in lace-gauged yarn or double plies of merino with some round and flat, intarsia and garter stitch knitting. The fins were made on 1.25 mm needles in single plies. All can be done on thicker needles in heavier yarn and will turn out somewhat bulkier.
Only small amounts of yarns are needed, so a reef fish is an easy, fast and fun project to use up any scraps you have lying around, done in a few hours***.***
Together, these fish make a great mock aquarium or a colorful crib mobile.
