Product Details
Inspired by Tofino, a common surfing destination located on Vancouver Island, BC, this hat brings to life the waves that form in the ocean allowing the surfers to gear up and catch a wave. As you look out in the distance, you can see the white caps form while the waves get closer to the beach, all while reflecting different colours as the sun light hits. Designed as a slouchy hat, this allows the wearer to mimic the look of a wave. The mosaic and fair isle colourwork allow for textural interest while also introducing the knitter to some different ways to play with colour.
This design pairs with the Catch A Wave Hat, released in KnitScene Fall 2019.
This pattern calls for three skeins of Lascaux, each of a different colour, but that will make more than one cowl.
