Product Details

All parties need balloons! But we’re all trying to be more environmentally friendly, and balloons create rubbish that isn’t recyclable. So instead of buying latex balloons that end up in rubbish tips, make your own eco-friendly balloon bunting that can be used, washed and reused.

The balloons are made from the top down, the initial 3-ch being the top of the balloon. The bottom loops of these are then used to sew the balloons onto the crocheted ribbon. There is very little weaving in of ends. Leave a longish tail when making the first 3-ch, as this will be used to attach the balloons to the ribbon. The balloons are made in three of the four colours in double crochet. The ribbons that the balloon motifs are attached to are made in the remaining colour.

The cotton yarn makes the bunting hard wearing so you’ll be able to store it for many years, using it whenever you want to, for Christmas, birthdays, christenings, anniversaries and any celebration you can think of.
