A simple, cute, asymmetrical poncho made from the top down. It can be wore several ways, #1 with the point in the front, #2 with the point off to one side of the front, #3 with the point at the back (I call this one the Audrey Hepburn way), #4 with the point off of one shoulder (not shown). Knitted at a loose gauge makes this a quick project.
Choosing a yarn for this poncho: Your yarn needs to have some good drape to it. Linen, silk noil, bamboo, cotton or blends of any of these works very nicely. I used Bamboo Pop and plan on using Hempathy variegated on my next one.
MATERIALS450-500 yards of multicolored dk weight yarn. Size 10 needle or size to obtain gauge. A needle one size smaller for cast on and 3 first rounds of Neck Edging.
Gauge: In stockinette stitch, 14 sts and 20 rows = 4”
Special thanks to Loralee at Mockingbird Moon Yarns for modeling this for me.
