Product Details
I’ve wanted to design a chunky cowl and hat combo for a while, I think knitting with chunky yarn can make a quick and easy knit for a gift for a friend or family member. This cowl works up in an evening or two and turns out hust lovely. The chunky yarn allows a bit of body so that it doesn’t slouch down around your chest and provides a little bit of warmth sort of like a turtleneck without the restriction. The cowl is knit flat and grafted upon completion, as is the band of the hat and stitches are picked up around one side to close the top.
PRINTING NOTE: This is a checklist pattern; it is not necessary to print the entire pattern if you prefer not to use the checkboxes for each section.
This pattern includes a provisional cast on; C8F (cable 8 front) and kitchener stitch.
SAMPLE: The hat sample was knit using Chelsea Luxe Yarns chunky (100% SW merino 106 yds/100 g) and weighed 75 grams using 80 yards/73 meters.
This pattern was written for personal use, please honor my copyright.
