Product Details
This is a fun and fast little shrug to knit. There is no gauge---be free!! You can adjust the size by using DK weight yarn and U.S. size #6 for a baby; Chunky weight yarn and U.S. size #10 needle for a larger child. It is a great "next" project for beginners, after learning to knit scarves. You knit back and forth on a circular needle in St st, shaping as you go. No sewing; minimal finishing! The pattern is written for approx. 24" chest using worsted weight yarn and a U.S. size #8 needle. You can follow the pattern exactly if you choose to use a different weight yarn. It comes out proportionately correct.
The first one shown is knit in Ty-Dy Tropicale; 2nd in Plymouth's KnitCol, color #47 from the Adriafil Collection; 3rd in Noro Silk Garden, reds.
