Product Details
This simple lace scarf is light enough to wear as a wrap in the warmer months but also makes a cosy scarf in the winter. The pattern is based on a traditional Shetland stitch called “broken acre” which, on a ribbing background, makes a fabric that is reversible and doesn’t curl.
The variegated brown/gold/bronze sample shown is made in Malabrigo Mechita, however the pattern will work with any 4 ply/fingering weight yarn (quantities and gauge may vary with different yarns). The length and width can easily be adjusted.
The scarf is knitted in once piece from the bottom up. The lace pattern is easy to memorise. The pattern is written and charted.
