Gauge 23 stitches and 32 rows = 4”/10 cm in Stockinette Stitch and Lace pattern on size US 4/3.5 mm needle, after blocking. 25 stitches and 32 rows = 4”/10 cm in k1, p1 rib on size US 4/3.5 mm needle, after blocking. 28-stitch Lace pattern repeat = 4¾”/12 cm on size US 4/3.5 mm needle, after blocking.

Notes

This cardigan is worked flat in one piece from the bottom up to underarms, then fronts and back are worked separately. Shoulders are sewn together. Cuffs are picked up and worked circularly.

German short-rows are used for sleeve cap and shoulder shaping. - Knitters could use any other Short- Row method of their choice.
