Product Details
Named after the traditional fishing boats of Northumberland, and pronounced Coble as in Noble, this versatile cardigan harks back to the fisherman's gansey of coastal areas. The fabric is dense but with drape, meaning that this is a great go-to for all seasons, either as a jacket in summer or as a layering piece in the colder months. The sleeves are designed to keep out of the wearer's way in wear, allowing her to easily pop the jacket over three quarter sleeve tops or to flirtily reveal shirt cuffs. The pattern works to the inclusion of six buttons (seven for the large size), as I felt that my garment needed a little extra reinforcement. The buttonholes are worked over two rows to sit neatly between the ribbing ridges, creating a very attractive focal point.
