Product Details
Our cushion cover is knitted using a dense Aran weight yarn. We used DROPS Alaska 100% wool, but a great substitute would be GGH Samson, or Cascade 220 yarns, both of which have similar yarn properties, colour and tension. Included with your pattern is a list of alternative yarn suggestions.
The cushion is knitted using garter stitch intarsia (instructions in pattern). Although it's "just" garter stitch, the techniques used in the pattern will prevent you getting bored (and... we LOVE garter stitch, here at The Little Songbird Knitting Co!).
You will need:
GGH Samson: 1 x 50g balls in each of: Schokolade (04); Bambusgelb (07); Tiefes Blaugrun (10); Franzosisches Grau (58); Etenblau (43); Anthrazit (34); Beige (27); Salbeigran (08)
OR
Cascade 220: 1 x 100g ball in each of: Vashon Island Heather (9465); Sunflower (2415); Caribbean (8907); Aspen Heather (8011); Midnight Blue (9543); Jet (4002); Fog Hyatt (2442); Mossy Rock (9429)
AND
4.5mm (US 7) needles; 38 x 38 cm cushion pad; 8 x poppers.
