Product Details
This pattern is written in UK terms, however there is only one stitch - double crochet - which is easy to convert.
Yarn used is Knitcraft cotton blend from Hobbycraft.
For the pattern you will need:
4.00mm crochet hook
Scissors
Darning Needle
4 x 100g balls of cotton or cotton blend yarn - 400g is enough to make 5 placemats and at least 5 coasters (see Coaster pattern also on LoveCrafts), if the colours are swapped around.
Finished sizes is approx. 28cm diameter.

Each pattern has lots of photos and step by step instructions of any tricky parts. You will also find the instructions on how to make an invisible join at the end of a Round. This makes the finished item a lot neater.
These placemats are made using only one stitch - double crochet - so fairly easy to make without having the worry about learning different stitches.
The finished items can be used as placemats, pot plant stands, or just decorative on the side.
