Product Details

A versatile jacket that can be worn buttoned or zipped all the way to the top of the collar...to the beach or boardroom. The simple slip stitch colorwork uses only one color per row so there’s no hassle with floats and every other row is a “resting” row. And there is no steeking!

The easy Mosaic colorwork technique makes for a dramatic yoke with a bit of heft to it…perfect for a jacket! A tiny bit of color echoes the design at the cuffs and hemline to pull it all together. Deep and wide ribbing at the hem and cuffs is mirrored by the strong collar. The sweater jacket is worked top down, flat and seamless with a stockinette body and sleeves framed by wide bands of ribbing.

Strongly contrasting colorwork to the body are advised for the most dramatic effect in the yoke and subtle transition between gradient colors within the colorwork is important. For the sample, two strands of fingering gradient were held double and colors were transitioned one strand at a time for the most subtle effect.
