Finally got to play with Shibui Knits new yarn Pebble! I mixed it with Staccato for this cardigan and it is wonderful!! The staccato gives great stitch definition and drape while the pebble adds a tweedy rich color and a soft plush feel. For some reason in this cardigan I think it gives a bit of an old school look. I love it! The cardigan is worked from the top down in one piece beginning with a rounded yoke that has pretty bobbles and cabled circles on a purl background. Raglan increases are worked to shape the bodice. There is short rows across the back so that the front neckline hangs a little lower than the back neckline. I named it Coriander because of the color and look reminded me of spices. This is a wear everyday cardigan. It is comfortable with causal clothes, but pretty enough to be dressed up. You will love it!
Shibui Staccato and Pebble were used for the sample, an alternative is suggested.
