Cranbrook came to be when I was in the middle of 3 other very large, very complicated knitting projects. It had just snowed and I wanted something fun and simple that could be whipped up in an evening or two. A skein of Brooklyn Tweed Shelter in Hayloft had been eyeing me for some time, so I took a little break and made this quick and satisfying toque.
Cranbrook is knit in the round from the brim up. It uses only knit and purl stitches to create the texture in this easy-to-memorize pattern, which showcases the nubbly, rustic yarn. A faux fur pom pom (or a yarnie one!) is optional, but highly recommended to top off this topper.
