This crochet pattern for this solid granny square blanket is very easy to follow, and creates the most beautiful and easy baby blanket. It's super beginner friendly, and can be made up in the space of a week-end.
It is crocheted with Aran weight 4 yarn (3 Caron Baby Cakes), which can be easily substituted with your choice of yarn. I also used a skein of cream Aran yarn for the border, and a 6 mm crochet hook.
This pattern is written in US terms, with British terms in brackets
This is a great project for beginners, and is created with a simple solid granny square base. A beautiful chain arch edging is later added on.
