This pdf pattern gives you full instructions to upcycle a scarf into a kimono style cover up, with crochet edging and fringing. This mix of upcycling with crochet is called #crochethacking. I whipped this little kimono style jacket up to take on holiday but I’m so in love with it I think it’s going to become a permanent wardrobe fixture, probably as a summer dressing gown! I love the long, sweeping tassels, but you could make them any length you like or even leave them of altogether. #Crochethacking is not a precise art so think of this as a set of guidelines rather than a traditional pattern. The idea is to give you the tools to experiment and play with your own clothes, keeping them out of landfill and making them things that are unique tailored just to your taste.
