Product Details

This chevron and garter shawl is worked from narrow beginning to wide lacey end, to form a triangle. I admit, as the rows get longer … and longer! it really is a little like skiing uphill, but the color changes provide a welcome change of scenery, so it’s easy to keep your momentum going. And then you’re there, ready to start the lace, where you slalom gently back and forth across one valley, then the next, then the next … … until all that’s left is a stretchy picot bindoff. Whew, that was fun! Let’s do it again!

Techniques used: Knitted cast on, simple lace (RS only), joining colors.

Yarn: Sunday Knits five-color gradients: 1 full (1 full & 1 mini, 2 full) gradients for sizes S (M, L).

Substitute any light sport weight yarns that work nicely to gauge: 1010 (1550, 2200) yd / 920 (1420, 2010) m total yarn length.

Pattern includes: Written instructions, glossary, linked tutorial, color sequence of sample is written and creating one’s own colorway is also encouraged.
