Product Details
Originating near Bergen, Norway, the blue and white Fana Sweater, with its 8-pointed stars, checkerboard pattern, and stripes with knitted “lice” has become very well known worldwide. This stocking borrows from those traditions to bring that traditional look to your home for Christmas. It has just a bit of ribbing at the top followed by the checkerboard pattern that was often used on the lower edge of the sweaters. The 8-pointed stars generally decorated the shoulders of the sweaters but here is used as the main motif at the top of the stocking. The lower leg and foot show off the stripes with the lice pattern. The flap heel and round toe are are plain blue to match the ribbing at the top.
Finished Size: About 16” around x 22” from top to toe (For a smaller stocking use a lighter weight yarn and smaller needles to match the yarn)
