Perfect summer top? Or beautiful transition garment? This vest top does summer and autumn equally well.
I fell in love with this ‘Hugs & Kisses’ cable, running up the side seams of the top, then added a few other sweet details - a vented hem and some cabled i-cord detailing, along with some tailored waist shaping for a slimming fit.
Knit in the round from the bottom up, the side seam cables add interest to the otherwise plain stocking stitch sections. This top can easily be modified - need to add some length or width at the hips? Knit the bottom from the appropriate size and then decrease down to the waist size for the proper bust size for you - or increase the depth of the vents if needed. You can also easily add some extra room at the bust using short row bust darts. This top is knitted flat after the armholes using the Curvy Cables pattern for the bib section. Cabled i-cord and applied i-cord finishings are then applied to the armholes and neck for a neat finished edge.
