Product Details

Named Dearaim, Irish for emblazon, is this seamless jacket adorned with small Celtic cables. The body is shaped for the bust and worked in one piece from the bottom to the armholes, while the sleeves are worked top down in stockinette stitch to make the cables stand out. The jacket ends in a crew neck that is crowned with an I-cord and a button band. Dearaim is knitted in the airy Norwegian combed wool yarn Ask from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk.

Yarn: Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk, Ask (100% wool, 315 m, 100 g).

Needles: 3.5 mm circular needle (80 cm) 3.5 mm circular needle (100 cm, extra set for hem and frontbands). 2.5 mm circular needle (80 cm) for sleeve cap pick up row.

Notions: 9 (9, 9, 9, 9) (9, 10, 10, 10) buttons (13 mm). Stitch markers (removable), cable needle, stitch holders, 3.5 mm crochet hook (for provisional cast on), waste yarn and yarn needle.

Gauge: 22 sts and 30 rows in st st using 3.5 mm needle measures 10 cm square after blocking.

Notes: Hem is cast on with 2 sets of needles.
