The Diamond Grid Drawstring Backpack is an intermediate level mosaic crochet bag that will charm everyone you know! With its intricate (but easy to make) design, and the effortless utility of the drawstring closing method, this will be the bag of your dreams!
Made with two contrasting colors of a fingering weight cotton yarn and a 2mm (US Steel 4) hook, the finished backpack measures approximately 25cm(9 ¾’’) tall, and 26cm(10’’) wide while open. The sample used approximately 270 meters (295 yards) of color A (base color), and 155 meters (170 yards) of color B (accent color).
The pattern includes a mosaic crochet chart, and written instructions for every step. It’s also very beginner-friendly, with detailed instructions on how to mosaic crochet (with step-by-step pictures!), and it’ll teach you how to create an invisible seam! The straps are also easy to make and customize, to find the perfect fit for your body!
