Product Details
A slightly modified take on the traditional Danish djævlehue (“devil’s cap”), using wrap-and-turn short rows for the crown shaping instead of seaming. A single row of eyelets along the bottom edge of the hat adds a subtle hint of lace, perfect to frame that precious little face.
The hat is worked sideways from the center back, increasing and decreasing to shape the traditional djævlehue edge. To finish, the cast-on edge is sewn together with the bind-off edge. Finally, optional ties can be added to make sure the hat fits snugly and stays in place.
