Product Details
Dorothy is a recreation of a mid-twentieth century sweater located in the Shetland Museum. It is an elegant but easy-to-wear, boat-necked sweater, with a deep lace panel on the upper body which is drawn into the neck band with an eyelet band. The slightly relaxed fit makes this sweater an extremely versatile piece.
Dorothy is knitted in Susan Crawford Fenella, in the colourway Jonquil, a warm, golden-mustard, similar to that used for the original piece.
Dorothy is knitted either flat or in the round up to the armhole. The yoke is worked back and forth. A chart is provided for the lace panel.
The sample is the sixth size, worn on a petite model with approximately 25cm (10in) of positive ease. It is suggested that for a more 'standard' fit you choose a size with approximately 9-13cm (4-5in) of positive ease. The pattern comes in 12 sizes to fit from 28-50in (71-127cm) chest with an update due shortly to increase the sizing to fit 60in (152cm).
