Drop, garter & lace triangular shawl

This is a lovely asymmetric triangular shawl knitted in 2 yarns and 3 sections. The pattern is designed for DK yarn using a 4.5mm needle, but it could easily be adjusted for a different thickness of yarn. It uses a ball each of King Cole Riot DK and Rowan Pure Wool DK. Gauge is NOT important for this shawl!! The pattern contains written instructions.

The first section is stocking stitch with interspersed dropped stitches knitted in a long repeat variegated yarn; next is a 2 colour garter stitch section using the variegated yarn and a contracting single colour yarn; finally a simple lace section with a picot bind off in the single colour yarn which continues around the second edge of the shawl.
