Product Details
A cabled thick and cozy aran sweater, perfect for winter walks on frosty days.
The name for this sweater comes from the closest hamlet to where I live, just under a mile away, and the closest post box which I have walked to many a time on a cold day.
The sweater is worked bottom up in the round to the armholes. The front and back are then completed worked flat and the shoulders joined using a 3-needle bind off. The sleeves are worked top down in the round. There is no waist shaping. The pattern is continued into the neck band, which is folded over and sewn down to give a neat finish.
The sweater is meant to be worn with positive ease.
Pattern has full written instructions, schematic, charts for the body and sleeve cables and notes included on adjusting the length.
