Egg-Free Brioche Beanie

Welcome to the Egg-free Brioche Beanie. This “nipple” hat pattern is the perfect introduction to knitting two-colour 1x1 brioche ribbing. In this pattern you will find links to videos and tons of tips and tricks to start you on your brioche journey. This pattern is knit in the round on circular needles and fits the average adult-sized head that ranges between 20-22” in circumference. Be sure to read the glossary section on page 5 and the “pep talk + tips” section before you start.

Advanced beginner/Intermediate

You will need to know how to cast on, knit brioche stitch, purl brioche stitch, YOS, work in the round, decrease. (Links to all of these in the pattern)

MATERIALS NEEDED:

1. Approximately 125 yards / 115 meters of worsted weight yarn, category 4 in Main Color
2. Approximately 125 yards / 115 meters of another worsted weight, category 4 in Contrast Color
3. Size US4/3.5mm circular needles 16”/40cm long
4. 5 x Size US4/3.5mm Double Pointed Needles
