Product Details

Designed to be paired with Mountain Meadow Wool, Laramie, which has a wonderful structure, spring and softness, this cowl is meant to be worn close to the neck to cut the cold wind here in Wyoming. Color-work patterns evoke water and trees to symbolize how nothing on this earth is permanently established but always growing and changing, and the effort we make in trying to put our roots in something solid.

Knit in the round without shaping. Cowl starts with two inches 3x1 ribbing, body worked in stockinet stranded color-work ending with another two inches of 3x1 ribbing.

Stranded color-work in the round is an easy way for beginners to learn the technique and works up pleasurably for more advanced knitters.

The pattern includes charted and written instructions for the stranded color-work.

This cowl would be a great pattern to learn the basics of stranded color-work as the pattern includes clear instructions.
