Product Details
Euclidean (named for the Greek mathematician) is a simple garter stitch shawl with an interesting shape and endless color opportunities. It begins with a small number of stitches and utilizes one repeated increase row to form it into an almost-parallelogram. Simple stripes and solid sections that gradually shorten from top to bottom allow the knitter to play with color – use bold contrast, or a lovely subtle gradient – and also to use up lots of partial skeins of fingering weight yarn. Euclidean is simple enough that the pattern can easily be modified to suit whatever yarn that happens to be on hand, and notes in the pattern have been included to help along these lines.
Specific yarn requirements: 900 yards / 825 m of fingering weight yarn: 110 yds / 100 m of C1, 130 yds / 120 m of C2, 130 yds / 120 m of C3, 130 yds / 120 m of C4, 100 yds / 90 m of C5, and 300 yds / 275 m of C6
