Product Details
A shawl-collared shrug, Eve's Ribs uses my own Adam's Ribs wandering rib stitch pattern over the back and arms and it's own lacey variation for the front and collar. Both stitch patterns are easy and reversible.
The shrug is knit in one piece from the top down, with seams under arms and down sides. Pattern includes instructions for 4 sizes and 4 different sleeve options - long tapered sleeves, long sleeves with a flared cuff, mid-length with a bell, and cap sleeves.Shrugs shown are size 39-45 in gray (long sleeve), and 33-38 in nut (mid sleeve) and ocean (cap sleeve), on a 36" dress form. This shrug should be loose fitting, so if between sizes or if a longer back length is desired, going up a size is recommended.
Gauge:16 sts and 25 rows = 4" in patt st using smaller needle, after washing and with ribs smoothed out.
**Note: **This is an atypically shaped sweater, and good fit requires a loose knit. Knitting it with a thicker yarn or tighter gauge is not recommended.
Skills used: Increases, decreases, short rows, ca- ble cast on, sewn bind off.
