What you'll need
Product Details
This is a sample of my self-published pattern style (both the format and level of detail). It’s also a practice piece for my "Lapham Cowl" paid pattern, if you'd like to try stranded colorwork in the round with slightly larger yarn and needles.
Skills Needed / Notes:
* Cast on, join and work in the round, knit, purl, change needles between rounds, knit alternating between two balls of yarn, read a basic colorwork chart, and bind off.
* The motif section of the pattern is charted only.
* The strands not in use (floats) do not need to be caught.
Finished Size: To fit wrist circumferences of 6-1/4 - 7-1/2 in (15.75-19 cm).
Gauge: Over colorwork pattern, knit in the round with size 3 (3.25 mm) circular needle: 29 stitches and 32 rounds = 4 in, after blocking.
Other Notes:
* This pattern has been reviewed by experienced knitters.
* For help with this pattern, please see the links in the pattern, or ask on any knitting forum. Thanks!
