Eyeglass holder monkey

This is a knitting pattern for a quirky and practical ‘monkey face glasses holder’.

The size is perfect for eyeglasses, but the basket can also be used for your desk to hold pens, pencils and other small items. This basket would also make a fun gift too.

Because it is a knitted basket, it is not a sturdy basket, but when you put it down the curled edge will hold the items in.

Skill level: intermediate (you have to know how to knit in the round, decrease and sew parts (together))

Materials

Beige and dark brown yarn: you can use DK / Light worsted yarn (you have to use 2 strands to knit) or use Aran /worsted yarn (you can use 1 strand to knit)

Circular knitting needles: 4.5 mm (US 7, UK 7) with a length of 40 cm

Little bit of black yarn for nostrils and mouth

2 Sew on eyes ‘ocher yellow with black pupils’ (11 mm) or self adhesive wiggle eyes or buttons or embroider eyes. Don’t use safety eyes, because they are too long.
