Product Details
A simple, streamlined yoke-neck cardigan, constructed from the bottom hem up with a slightly A-line shape. The sweater is worked using coordinating laceweight and fingering weight yarns for a very light garment with a lot of drape. The body is worked back and forth to the armpits with decreases at the bottom garter-stitch stripes to taper the body slightly. The sleeves are then worked in the round, and then joined to the body at the yoke. The sweater is then shaped using decreases in the garter stitch stripes. It is finished with narrow garter-stitch front bands.
Note that this sweater is knit from a laceweight and a fingering-weight yarn, so that the body of the sweater itself is slightly sheer (the laceweight) and the garter-stitch stripes are opaque (the fingering-weight). You will need the following to knit the sweater: Laceweight/MC 20% silk), 875 yds/100-g skeins, 1 (1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3) skeins and fingering-weight/CC 435 yards/100-g skeins, 1 (1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3) skei
