Product Details
The chevron pattern of these gloves mimics the pattern of a feather, and this is carried all the way up into the fingers. Choose a fingering weight wool that is self striping, but with rather quick colour changes, so that you don’t end up with fingers that are half (or even all) in one colour.
19cm is the circumference of the glove. The gloves are quite flexible in sizing: this size can be worn by women with hand circumferences of about 18.5-20cm just above thumb. But you can also make them slightly bigger or smaller by changing the tension, e.g. a tension of 32 sts per 10cm will give you a glove circumference of about 18.5cm, and 28 sts per 10cm one of about 19.5cm. If you want to make a bigger glove, choose the Regia 4-ply color rather than stretch color, since the latter is a bit thinner and more suitable for 30-34 sts per 10cm. If you like a snug fit for your gloves, knit them in a circumference that is a bit smaller than that of your hand (about 0.5-1cm less).
