Product Details

The 2nd in my series of 12 scarves for 2014 -For February I designed a stash busting scarf. Made from square motifs in 2 colours, one for the first 2 rounds which forms a flower shape and a second for the last 2 rounds which square it off. The yarn makes it wonderfully warm and the colours are bright – perfect to keep you warm and bring on thoughts of spring during the last weeks of winter! The motif is fairly quick to make, especially in aran weight yarn, and uses only the basic crochet stitches. Provided you can work in the round, you will find this a straightforward project. Of course, the motif could also be used in any project - it would be perfect in a blanket. The scarf is made from 28 of the motifs (14 long by 2 wide) and I used a total of 14 colours randomly, using about 310g/460m of yarn. But it can be made to any size with any combination of colours. Written in English and US terms, and charted.
