The Felted Cap was created when my husband asked for a "plain hat. No colour, or pattern, just plain...but can you make it so I can't feel the wind going through it?"
You bet! Felted wool is super dense, warm and soft. And the classic, simple shape and fit are just what he was looking for. The Felted Cap is knit in the round and then felted in the washing machine. I’ve included detailed felting instructions to help you along.
This cap knits up very quickly, is beginner appropriate and also makes a great gift. Please feel free to sell your handmade caps at craft, guild and handmade sales and in etsy shops. I just ask that you credit me and this pattern.
