Product Details
I started the original design for Finding Balanced just after the first lockdown began and it was going to be made Fairisle style, with several bands of colours but I struggled for weeks to get it just right.
It wasn’t until I stripped out all bar two colours that I felt the design ‘found its balance’. In much the same way, i feel crafting has helped myself and many others around the world find their own balance during these strange times.
Just one ball each of 2 colours will make 2 hats, in an average adult size, knit at a tension of approx 30sts x 32 rows in 10cm.
If you would like to work with several colours, please do – I’d love to see what you come up with!! One of my testers used several colours which inspired me to try again myself- and it turned out really well!
I used Drops Nord, which is beautifully soft but any fingering weight can be used.
I hope you enjoy making it and I'd love to see your version.
